What a busy three months! At the start of May, when Katherine Harriet was launched, we had three Wellbeing Assistants waiting to work, a kitchen table turned office and lots of enthusiasm to create a new type of care and wellbeing service in Herefordshire.
Three months on, and thanks to so many people who have supported us and recommended us in the community, we now have 17 Wellbeing Assistants, lots of really lovely clients, new premises in town and even more enthusiasm and energy from everyone at KH.
We wanted to write this post to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to all the people who helped us get to here so quickly. GPs, Social Workers, District Nurses, Mental Health professionals, Hereford Hospital, Palliative Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Hereford Council, local health societies, neighbours, friends, family - and our fantastic team of Wellbeing Assistants who take such wonderful care of our clients.
We're hearing that KH is being talked about a lot amongst health professionals in the community and we were recently asked to attend a meeting with Herefordshire council to share our 'care and wellbeing model' with them, which was really exciting.
How lucky and privileged we feel to be able to do what we do, every day :-)
The gallery of pictures shows just a few of our highlights over the past three months - our absolute favourite being the time we arranged a birthday surprise for our lovely client Bob, who at 97 years old, had a thrilling ride in a vintage car along Herefordshire's country lanes - Bob still talks about this every day! Thanks so much to our Wellbeing Assistant Liz for organising. KH
